As a Business Development Intern, you will support the commercial team in increasing sales through lead generation, marketing, and other corporate strategies
What you will do:
- Support the commercial team by creating target prospects lists and penetrating key accounts
- Cold call prospects generated by variety of outside sources
- Identify key players, research and obtain business requirements, and presenting solutions to begin sales cycle
- Set appointments for the commercial team when a lead reaches a qualified stage
- Nurture new marketing leads by educating and developing prospects until they are ready to speak with a field sales rep
- Collaborate with sales and marketing team members on strategic sales approach
- Ensure successful follow through of sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in CRM application
Requirements:
- Exceptional communication skills in English, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic phone presence
- Demonstrated success in prospecting
- Payments industry experience highly desired
- Extremely self-motivated with a diligent work ethic
- High level of integrity and strong commitment to building a successful company
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Adept computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with CRM applications preferred
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required
